Amazing Oyster Mushrooms
Back in May I attended an amazing workshop organised by Powderbark Permaculture designed to teach you how to develop your own mushroom spawn and eventually produce mushrooms.
Today the very first of the spawn that I have grown myself fruited and Jamie and I had an oyster mushroom feast for breakfast. I'll apologise for the face I am pulling in the first photo but I was getting wet in a sudden downpour!

Interestingly this is the first time that I have ever cooked and eaten oyster mushrooms but I am thinking it will be very hard to go back now that I have tasted them. They are 'meatier' than regular button mushrooms and take a lot longer to cook than button mushrooms but are utterly delicious.
