Happy Anniversary Here's Your... Chicken Run
For four days Jamie worked liked a man possessed building the chickens a 7 by 4.5 metre chicken run.
By the end of the four days his hands were cut to shreds, he was sunburnt and exhausted but the chickens had beautiful area into which I have been madly transplanting the herbs and medicinal plants from the orchard, while still taking care of my remaining chicken patient. 'Darling' injured by a magpie, has returned to the flock but I still have the sick little chicken whom my youngest child has named 'Rosie' in the house.
Today is our Wedding Anniversary but as the chicken run has set us back about $500 there will be no presents or romantic dinner for two. In fact we are both so tired we didn't even make each other an anniversary card but if we had, it would read; "Happy Anniversary, here's your chicken run".
