Return to Serpentine Country Markets

Today 'Kookaburra Nook' returned to Serpentine Country Markets for the first time in eight months. The weather may have been cold and wet but the reception certainly was anything but that. I have missed the stallholders, organisers and patrons so much - market people form special bonds. It was especially nice to see all my regular customers again because I have missed them too and they have all been missing my honey!

Financially the business has taken a BIG hit because the bills kept rolling in despite our income stopping completely. It is going to take some serious work to get things back to where they were eight months ago, both in the finance department and in the garden and  I'm not exactly feeling up to the challenge. I have been diagnosed with iron deficiency. I have already had a series of iron injections and am hoping that and a little more sleep can get me back on track because my workload is enormous and my energy levels are pretty much non-existent.

I have pushed my body for months now physically, mentally and emotionally and just how much more it will take I don't know - sooner or later I know I will have to 'pay the ferryman', so to speak, I just hope the price is not too high!
