27. The Chicken Paso Doble'

The Chicken Paso Doble

Whether it is because of his distinctly feminine name, or because he was named after his powder puff-like bottom, we will never know but Fluffy feels the need to impress us with his masculinity. To do this he choses to use the power of the Paso Doble!

Now to digress, for those who know nothing about dancing - the Paso Doble (pronounced pas-oh-doe-bley)is an impressive ballroom dance of Spanish origin where the male ballroom dancer draws himself up to his full height, puffs out his chest and stamps his feet to great effect and even though I am no expert when it comes to ballroom dancing, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the paso doble is a manly man's dance.

Fluffy evidently knows this too, because he has begun using the ‘Paso’ to great effect whenever any of us visit the orchard.

Jamie was the first to notice and mention Fluffy's 'strange little dance' and the best performances, coincidently, seem to be aimed at him.

With his leading wing held like a shield and flight feathers extended to the ground like a Spanish lady's fan, Fluffy hops and stamps his feet while pirouetting around us much to our amusement.
