56. Hysterectomy Marmalade

Hysterectomy Marmalade

The birth of my youngest child in 2014 left me feeling like I had been hit by a Mack truck.

I have worked really hard to get fit and to try and take care of my body but despite spending the best part of the last year and a half trying to get on top of some pretty significant health issues, I haven't made much progress in some areas. In October it was decided that the best course of action would be for me to have a hysterectomy. While this will hopefully solve many problems, it will create others, such as having to close my business down AGAIN for at least 5 months.

As well as of all the practical inconveniences,I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I am super scared, so scared that I can't even contemplate sleeping. So I have come up with a plan. I will put my babies to bed and then I will clean and sanitise my kitchen from top to bottom and when that is done, I will make marmalade. I will make marmalade all night until the sun comes up and then when I get to hospital, I will be so tired that I will sleep until they come to get me for my operation.
