One Plus One Equals Two

The discovery of two eggs yesterday (one laid safely in the nesting box and one 'egg bomb' laid from the night perch) announced the coming of age of a second hen. 

With 'Mort' still not having any red comb or wattles to speak of, we were shocked but happy to realise that 'Swifty' is female.

Jamie repeated his tried and proven chicken training technique with a very reluctant Swifty and what do you know today there are two lovely eggs for us in the nesting box weighing between 62 and 64 grams each.
